Where Healing Takes Root
Creating safe, relational pathways to support healing and growth through our care farm program, equine rescue, and access to clinical therapy

The Journey Fund
In 2022, the Thrive Collective therapists created the Journey Fund to provide trauma therapy for families in Kamloops who lack the financial means to access 1-1 clinical support. We have been serving this community for over a decade and recognize the need for accessible therapy.
About The Journey Fund
The Journey Fund is held at BGC Kamloops (formerly Boys and Girls Club Kamloops). This fund allocates financial contributions to pay for therapy for parents requiring support. Parents are provided with a list of available and qualified therapists in Kamloops. This fund supports parents to access therapy at a critical time when they lack financial means. Therapy is essential for increasing wellness and supporting life changes, but it can be expensive. Families without extended health benefits or specialized funding often miss out on the benefits of one-on-one support. Trauma healing should not be a luxury.
Why it matters?
Children who experience difficult childhoods are more prone to challenges in youth and adulthood, including poorer health, addictions, homelessness, and incarceration. Healing trauma interrupts multigenerational patterns and creates new outcomes for children. When parents heal from their own trauma, they become more patient, emotionally available, and better equipped to handle crises. Supporting parents in their healing journey is a tremendous gift to their children.
